Fresh bright and brilliant-this is a really lovely rosso that offers amazing value and an insight to what we can expect of the smashing 2015 vintage.

The 2011 Voltumna pinot nero is made using 100% biodynamic pinot noir grapes.
It is from two nine year old Pinot Noir vines situated on the highest point of the vineyard surrounded by the woods.
Each vine has its own characteristic because each grows in a different kind of soil.

Dark cherry and plum skin come first, followed by crushed dried herbs, black tea and a faint whiff of turned earth. In the mouth the fruit is compact and a little brooding, with sour cherry and blood orange acidity keeping things lively, and a peppery, almost gamey edge running underneath.
romatically it opens on morello cherry, cranberry and a little pink peppercorn, with a leafy, almost sappy note underneath that reads as high-altitude Pinot Noir. The palate carries strawberry and rhubarb through the middle, then turns drier and more savoury towards the back, picking up dried thyme and a faint whiff of woodsmoke.
Juicy red berries and spice dance with earthy notes in this elegant, cool-climate Pinot.

Fresh and vibrant, this Pinot Noir showcases fine, soft tannins with lifted cherry and bright red fruit aromas whilst savoury flavours and spice meld into the background.
A fine expression of Pinot Noir, ready for immediate enjoyment but will also reward the patient collector.
Juicy and vibrant Aussie red, bursting with ripe berries and a spicy kick.
