MAX IGP Méditerranée Rosé (2025)
750mL / Provence / France
MAX IGP Méditerranée Rosé 2025 is a dry, pale-pink rosé from Provence in the south of France, built for freshness rather than richness. Crisp, savoury and light on its feet, it sits squarely in the classic Provençal style rather than the fruitier rosés made at home.
The nose leans towards white peach, pink grapefruit and crushed strawberry, with a faint herbal edge that keeps things dry rather than sweet. On the palate the fruit stays pale and precise — melon, redcurrant and a squeeze of citrus — with none of the confected character that can creep into rosé at this weight.
Acidity does the structural work here, running clean through the middle and giving the wine a taut, almost saline shape. Texture is fine and unpadded, and the finish is short in the best sense: dry, chalky and gone quickly enough to make you reach for the glass again.
Serve it properly cold with grilled prawns, salade niçoise, goat's cheese, or a plate of jamón and olives before dinner. It also handles lighter Vietnamese and Thai dishes well, where the acidity cuts through chilli and lime without fighting them.
This Méditerranée rosé is made to be drunk young, so enjoy it through 2026 and into 2027 while the fruit is still bright and the acidity crackles.
