Domaine de la Bèche Régnié (2025)

750mL / Régnié, Beaujolais / France

Category: Wine
Sub-Category: Red wine

Domaine de la Bèche's Régnié 2025 comes from one of the ten Beaujolais crus, a relative newcomer to cru status known for producing some of the region's lighter, more perfumed reds.

The nose is fragrant, with red berries, violet and a touch of pepper, showing more lift than a straight Beaujolais-Villages. On the palate it's supple and fresh, with fine tannin and bright acidity carrying real fruit purity through to a clean, floral finish.

Régnié's granite and sandy soils tend to favour perfume over power, and this bottling leans into that character rather than fighting it.

Pour it lightly chilled with charcuterie, roast chicken, or a mushroom tart. It also handles a wide range of casual bistro food with ease.

Drinking well now and over the next two to three years, best enjoyed while young and fragrant.
