Warka Strong is a Polish strong lager at 6.2%, built with more alcohol and more body than Warka's standard pale lager, and it drinks noticeably heavier for it.

The nose carries a warming, faintly sweet malt character, and the flavour follows through heavier and fuller on the tongue than a typical lager, with bitterness kept low so the malt does the talking. Carbonation is moderate rather than sharp, giving a smoother drink than lighter styles manage, and the finish lingers a little longer too.

Serve it cold rather than icy, since a little warmth helps the body open up, and treat it as a beer for sipping rather than sculling. It's best enjoyed fresh, not long after it's bought, while the higher alcohol still sits balanced rather than hot.
