Veltins Pilsner is a German pilsner brewed in the Sauerland region at 4.8%, pale gold and built along classically dry, clean lines.

The nose is grainy and lightly floral, with a firm, dry bitterness that carries through to a crisp finish. Body is light, carbonation lively, and there's nothing about it that overstays its welcome in the glass, with a clean, almost mineral edge running through the finish and barely any sweetness left behind it.

Serve it properly cold in a tall glass, or just drink it on its own with nothing else on the table. Like any good pilsner, it's made for drinking fresh and young rather than kept.
