Schöfferhofer Hefe Weizen is a classic unfiltered German wheat beer at 5%, hazy and golden with a big, billowing head when poured properly.

Banana and clove drive the aroma, straight from the wheat-beer yeast, with a soft, faintly sweet malt character underneath and very little bitterness. The body is full and the carbonation lively, giving it a creamy mouthfeel without ever feeling heavy, and a faint citrus edge running alongside the banana right through to the finish.

Pour the can slowly into a tall glass, finishing with a swirl to bring the sediment through, and drink it cold. It's a wheat beer that's best fresh, with a lively carbonation that fades if it's left to sit around too long after opening, so don't pour it and then wander off.
