Schöfferhofer Grapefruit is a grapefruit-flavoured wheat beer in the radler style, brewed to just 2.5% for something lighter than a full-strength beer.

Grapefruit is the dominant aroma and flavour, tart and zesty over a soft wheat-beer base, with the beer's own banana and clove character sitting quietly in the background. It's light-bodied and brightly carbonated, closer to a fruity, lightly bitter soft drink than a serious beer, with a slight bite of bitterness on the finish, and all the better for it on a hot day when something heavier wouldn't hit the spot.

Serve it well chilled, straight from the can or over ice with a wedge of lime if you like, and drink it the day it's opened - it's built for refreshment on a hot afternoon, not for keeping in the back of the fridge.
