DAB Dark is a Dortmunder dunkel, a dark lager brewed in Germany with a deep copper-brown colour and a creamy tan head.

Roasted malt drives the aroma and flavour here, all toasted bread and a touch of caramel, with just enough hop bitterness to stop it tipping into sweetness. The body is medium and smooth, with moderate carbonation that keeps it easy to drink despite the darker colour, and the finish is clean rather than heavy, with the roasted character trailing off gently.

Serve it cold, though not as icy as a pale lager. It's a lager built for drinking young rather than ageing, so there's no reason to tuck a bottle away.
