Brick red in colour with youthful crimson hues. Intensely lifted aromas of ripe plums, dark cherries and sublimely focused French oak spices permeate the nose. Beautifully crafted palate, carrying over the ripe plum and dark cherry fruits from the nose, and elegantly integrating the fine French oak char, balanced natural tannins and acidity in a persistant finish.

This 2009 Shiraz Grenache celebrates the independence and free spirit of one of the Clare Valley's real characters, his home and ours, Killerman's Run.

Made traditionally in small batches and matured in older French and American oak casks before final blending and bottling unfiltered. 60% Shiraz, 40% Grenache.

Shiraz gives lifted aromas of blackberry, plum and black pepper with spicy, dark berry fruits
on the palate has benefited from the addition of Primitivo, native to southern Italy, adding
vibrant cranberry, raspberry and strawberry flavours. The finish is long with fine grained
tannins from eighteen months maturation in both new and seasoned American and French
oak barrels.
